Hear from award-winning chemists Dr Sara Miller and Dr Philip Norcott as they deliver two keynote presentations exploring Raman spectroscopy and the exciting applications of portable magnetic resonance technology.
The day will also feature three different practical session rotations led by experienced Chemistry teachers and academics, providing opportunities to investigate a range of practical activities, explore innovative experimental designs and discover fresh ideas to take straight back to the classroom. Sessions will include investigating reaction kinetics, exploring colour chemistry in design practicals, and using spectroscopy.
The day will conclude with a dedicated workshop led by an experienced Chemistry teacher, focusing on SACE Stage 2 Chemistry folio work and offering valuable insights, strategies and practical ideas to support students in developing high-quality folios.
To finish the day, join us for ‘happy hour’ at the Tavern from 3:30 pm to build connections with colleagues from across the Chemistry teaching community.
